The year opened with great enthusiasm as we welcomed Bro. Tracy Boyd as
our revival speaker. The presence of the Holy Ghost was apparent from
the first service.
As a resident of Louisiana, Bro Boyd had insights into the events
surrounding hurricane Katrina. He expounded upon the wickedness of New
Orleans and the response of its residents as devastation approached. The
irony of the whole event is that the name Katrina means "pure." Was God
sending America early warnings of judgment to come? Bro. Boyd's message,
"America is cruising for a bruising" is a message that we all need to
hear. As the week moved on, the intensity of the
Holy ghost revival increased. Night after night we were blessed of God and
several students were baptized in the Holy Ghost.
Alumni convention was also a time
of spiritual refreshing as Bro. Rickey savage ministered
about the "King in the Cave." We were greatly encouraged as he reminded
us that we won't always face calamities. |
Bro. Clayton Massey followed up on Friday
evening by challenging us to maintain our focus. These messages spoke to the
heart of all who attended.

Sunday mornings have been a special time of spiritual
instruction as Rev. Thomas Peretic has presented lessons from the book of
Nehemiah, entitled, "Building with a Burden." Instruction turned to
admonition, and admonition soon became a challenge to seek the face of God
for a real burden. Before we can experience our vision in our churches we
must live them out in the presence of God.

THE "PRAYER WORLD"
IS THE REAL WORLD! |
What a joy it was to see students make their way to an alter to
seek God for a ministry that is fueled by a Godly burden and a heaven-sent
vision! Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision the people perish." |
We need to raise up a generation of preachers who know the mind of God and have received the keys
of the kingdom of heaven to unlock the storehouse of revival that God has
reserved for this last hour! We must believe that the promise of a last
day revival spoken by the prophet Joel is still real for our churches
today! Peter recognized this and further affirmed it by stating, “For the
promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,
even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
Friend, this is a
promise that must be instilled into the hearts of future ministers.
Ours is not a calling of despair but one of hope! The hope of revival still
burns in the heart of every Spirit-filled Believer. That fire must be
fueled from our pulpits, not quenched or explained away. We are seeing God
challenge young hearts to rise up with new vision and vigor that can only
help restore weary churches to the God-ordained call of ministering life to
a dying world.
We appreciate the ministry of our alumni as well as the many
Holiness preachers that have come through our doors to help minister to our
student body. We look forward to having you visit us in the future! |
