Goal # 2 - $1000 to be used to help the Pastors
We converted the US currency to Sierra Leone notes and obtained 300,000 Leones. In consultation with Daniel John (Field Superintendent) and Isaac John ( Field Director), it was decided to share the cash among the 51 pastors. On Christmas Eve they appreciatively accepted the gift. The top leader
received $43, two midlevel leaders received $33, 21 senior pastors received $26, and 27 junior pastors received $13.

What would they do with his money? A 50 lb. bag of rice, which is the staple of the African diet, cost about $25. A bag would feed a family of four about a month.
 
ABOVE IS A PORTION OF THE “70 TOOLS FOR EVANGELISM” THAT 70 VOLUNTEERS WILL USE TO START FIVE NEW VILLAGE OUTREACHES EACH. EACH OF THESE BICYCLES CAME IN A 4X5 BOX AND HAD TO BE ASSEMBLED, INCLUDING PUTTING THE SPOKES IN THE WHEELS. THAT WAS A MASSIVE PROJECT.
