GOALS MET AND MORE! |
|
||||||
| With your help we reached
the goals we and set and beyond them. Eighteen churches and individuals
contributed $6360 towards the three goals we had set for our trip. Goal # 1 - $1000 to underwrite the cost of the conference. National Superintendent, Daniel John, was grateful to receive the $ 1000 in cash towards the cost of the conference. Over 800 pastors and church members gathered for four days over Christmas. The schedule for the conference ran from 8:00 am until 10:00 p.m. including teaching, preaching, worship and challenges. A sign of the churches |
vision of self-support was
shown by them presenting $1000 also toward the conference. Some churches
presented large amounts of rice and palm oil (staples of the meals). Everybody rejoiced to see representatives from 11 new churches formed during this past year. During the last afternoon, there was an hour of intercession for the new bicycle evangelism teams. Seventy volunteer “bicycle evangelists” were commissioned under the auspices of an existing church to start an outreach in five new villages. Two pastors were assigned to supervise and guide this ambitious project. With the Lord’s help, that could be the birth of 350 new churches all |
over Sierra Leone. Pray
for revival to break out now!

The
conference was held at Mathora Girls Secondary School - a boarding
institution. More than eight hundred conferees lived here for four days. The
open building is where the services were held with an “overflow” made of a
bamboo framework covered with palm fronds. |
