UNDER CONSTRUCTION

God has blessed this ministry in the Philippines. We are in the process of constructing 2 churches.
Pictured to the right is the fence (retaining wall) for the foundation of the church in Laoag. What you see pictured will hold the foundation of the church. The building will rise above it. The hole goes completely through the wall for the flow of surface water during rainy season.
In our last newsletter we mentioned the need for funds to construct this church. The Lord laid it on Sis. Roberta Bedzyk’s heart, the former pastor’s wife from my home church in Elmira, NY, to send the funds. She is
building it in memory of her husband Rev. John Bedzyk, whose concern was always for souls. It is also in honor of Bro. & Sis. David Cook and my wife and I for the years spent on this mission field. Sis. Cook and I share the same home church.
Pictured above is the church at Cabugao. Through the generous help of Mt. Calvary Evangelistic Association we have gotten this far. Now we need to erect non-bearing walls and put a floor in so that the congregation can have services there.

Revival Spills Over

In October, we were privileged to have Bro. & Sis. James Collins, Bro. George Meyers, & Sis. Amy Dolly visit us. Bro. Collins preached our Holiness Convocation. On the first night we had 544 registered not counting children. There were other adults sitting in jeepneys, since we ran out of chairs that did not register either. How we thank the Lord for the record attendance! We also enjoyed a visit from Bro. Harold Bruce and a group with him during Convocation.
The revival we experienced in the school overflowed into Convocation as God again moved. There were a large number who came forward for salvation. So many were touched and encouraged to continue on to follow the Lord. The last night Bro. Collins preached “ Four Mistakes That Rebels Make.” Filipinos are very backward about answering specific altar calls for things like that. God moved in a special way though and once again the altars were lined with those repenting of their rebellion. It was evident that the saints went home challenged to live the truth.

THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW

We had 5 new students enroll for the second
semester of this school year making our total
enrollment 37. (Pictured right.) One thing that
thrilled our hearts was that the two young men were from a church pioneered by a 2004 graduate, Pastor Reynold Repollo. The educating and preparing process at FBI is working.
Recently, a 1998 graduate from FBI, Noel Valdez, pioneered a church in the Quirino province. This is our first work in that area. There was even a group that came with him to convocation from there for the first time. Pray with us that this will only be the start of many more churches in that region.
Since we have been in the Philippines; God has enabled us to present over 825 Bibles to individuals. To qualify: they must profess salvation, complete the Home Bible Study Course, and be baptized in water. We thank the Lord for those who have given to make this project a continued success.
Pictured to the right, is Pastor Veriglio Notarte with his new motorcycle and side car. It was provided by a couple who attend a Free Pentecostal Holiness Church in Southwest Virginia. We praise the Lord for this tremendous blessing. Many of our pastors walk to outstations to present the Gospel to
the lost. A tricycle makes that task so much easier and usually they open more outreaches as a result. The cost for one is $1,900.00.

PLEASE PRAY WITH US
-December 26– 28 is Annual National LBO Youth Rally. My wife and I will be the evening speakers.
There are usually over 100 youth from at least 3 provinces who come to this event. Pray with us that God will save, sanctify, fill with the Holy Ghost, and call to service those that are present.
-We are now beginning to develop the DVBS program for 2007. The theme for this year is “Kids Can
Change the World.” Pray that the Lord will direct us in selecting the material that will touch the hearts of
these precious 7,000 children and young people for Christ.
-We anticipate returning to the U.S. in March of 2007, for a furlough and to personally share with you
more about what God is doing in the Philippines. Pray that the Lord will guide us in the supervision of the
ministry in our absence. We plan to continue the Bible School, Pastor Support Program, and other ministries while we are in the U.S. with the help of the Filipinos. Also, pray that God will give us many open doors of ministry in the U.S. Ask God with us, that He will provide a mini-van for us to use while we are home.

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS FROM THE PHILIPPINES

My wife and I would like to wish you, your family, and your church family a very Merry Christmas and a
blessed and happy New Year. In one sense, it seems like we have been here forever, and yet in another way it seems like it was just yesterday, we landed in the Philippines. We want to thank those of you who have stood with us during these three years prayerfully, financially, and with encouraging words. We look forward to being with you again in service. May God richly bless you through this coming year is our prayer.
