Free Gospel Missions Newsletter July 15, 2005:
Reports
continue to come in from India of new converts who have taken water
baptism. This is a very important step indicating a total break from their
former beliefs.
There is strong opposition to Christianity in India, and persecution and even
death is not rare. Yet, the need is beyond comprehension, with over a billion
people there and half of them unable to read or write! About half are also under
the age of 16! Besides the services at the mission, meetings are held in homes
and gathering places. Much prayer is needed and more financial support than we
are able to give.
Free Gospel Missions Newsletter Sept. 22, 2005:
REPORTS COMING IN FROM INDIA tell of ongoing conversions and water baptisms and growth of the congregation. This is a welcome change from many lean years when conversions were rare. The spiritual darkness is great, and opposition to Christianity is strong, with persecution common. Yet the message must be proclaimed.
Free Gospel Missions Newsletter Nov. 8, 2005:
NO
EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE TO MISSION IN INDIA Most of you have heard news reports of
the deadly earthquake that was partly in India. I am happy to report that our
mission is located a considerable distance away, so no report of damage is
expected. The most recent reports are among the best in many years, with
conversions, and a move of the Holy Spirit. India must be considered one of the
nations that most need the good news of the gospel.
Free Gospel Missions Newsletter Jan. 15, 2006:
A pressing need has been met in India, thanks to the generous help of some who read these letters. Funds sufficient to make repairs to the mission roof have been received, and the work is progressing.
Free Gospel Missions
Newsletter March, 2006:
From India we hear there is a growing number of converts in this great
land. India is a huge nation, second largest in the world, and with
very diverse lifestyles. They range from the poorest of the poor, to those
who are quite wealthy. There is a rapidly growing middle class, and the
need of the gospel is so very great. Unless government policy changes,
evangelism is very restricted, and no foreign missionaries permitted. We
are thankful that our national leader was trained many years ago, and can
continue to preach and lead people to Christ.
Free Gospel Missions
Newsletter May 2006:
In India reports continue to
come in of increasing numbers of conversions and attendance at services.
Needed repairs are in progress to the mission house, made possible by
some of you. However, we are receiving reports of increasing Muslim
persecution in countries with sizable Muslim populations. This is
especially true in Pakistan, where churches have been burned and people
forced to flee for their lives.
INDIA borders Pakistan. Our mission there is reporting conversion of many Muslims! Attendance at services is growing and the mission doing the best it has in years. Praise God! Some of you gave toward needed repairs at the mission house. The repairs had to be delayed until the rainy season ended, and I am happy to report are now in progress.
