TO ALL FRIENDS OF FREE GOSPEL MISSIONS EVERYWHERE, GREETINGS!

Thank you for a few minutes of your time to bring you up to date on the work of God overseas. We are receiving wonderful reports from the mission fields. Here are some samples I want to share with you:

u  SIERRA LEONE The bicycle project is producing great results with new congregations being established in primitive villages. Established churches are enlarging. New areas of the nation are being reached. As the Lord impressed upon my heart at the 2005 retreat, it is time for revival NOW in this land.

u   GUINEA The move of God continues in this African country. In September they will celebrate the one year anniversary of the founding of this work. The Holy Spirit has moved in a mighty way with miracles and healings and remarkable conversions.

u   PHILIPPINES There is so much good news space will not permit a full report. Faith Bible Institute has an increased enrollment. The spiritual climate is remarkable. While the S.E.N.T. Team from Free Gospel Bible Institute held revival services there 16 persons were filled with the Holy Spirit. The team also ministered in churches, jail services, open air meetings etc. Bringing with them funds raised for projects, they presented three pastors with motorcycles, and met a variety of other needs totaling about $10,000. They returned with keen insight of the tremendous need in foreign lands, and a burden in their hearts to fulfill whatever call God puts on their lives.

Meanwhile several needed improvement projects have been completed at the campus of Faith Bible Institute and several churches. Major construction is also under way at Cabugao on a new church building for a growing congregation. The S.E.N.T. team was amazed to see the schedule maintained by the Petits as they oversee this mission as well as frequently preaching, teaching classes, conducting funerals, making repairs etc.

IMPORTANT PROJECTS NEEDING FUNDING:

u  Sierra Leone: About $14,000 is needed to complete buildings so that Faith University can open. The potential spiritual and practical benefits to this needy nation are beyond description. It is sorely needed.

u At Godrich, near Freetown a successful church and day school operate on un-owned land. The owner is selling the land. $10,000 is needed to purchase the land and preserve this ministry. Plans are to open this year a high school here as well. I have preached in this church and spoken to the student body. It is a vital work.

u In Pakistan, the leader of a sizeable association of Pentecostal churches contacted us to request fellowship and prayer support. Investigation revealed that we share the same beliefs and practices. Recently, his family lost their wood and mud home to fire.

Just days ago, a major insurgent leader and several followers were killed in a fire fight with government forces. This has resulted in riots, burning of vehicles and buildings etc.

Word just came to us that when this leader went to buy groceries, rioters destroyed his vehicle and severely beat him. Please remember Bishop Misah in your prayers.

u INDIA borders Pakistan. Our mission there is reporting conversion of many Muslims! Attendance at services is growing and the mission doing the best it has in years. Praise God! Some of you gave toward needed repairs at the mission house. The repairs had to be delayed until the rainy season ended, and I am happy to report are now in progress.

Buddhist countries in the
world

u MYANMAR: a recent message from founder Hre Ling, reports that this fledging work in a land of very little Christian witness, continues to function and makes ongoing efforts to witness and lead others to salvation. Please pray for this work.

It is important that you know that in these poverty stricken nations, emphasis is made that people there faithfully do the little they can to help fund the work. This is of course done at great sacrifice. Our leadership in Sierra Leone emphasizes to national pastors they must teach their people to give and not mere rely on support from the USA. In the Philippines the Adopt A Pastor program has been a great help. We appreciate so much those who faithfully give to this project.

Many of you give funds designated to a particular field or person. We always follow your stated wishes. But we also much appreciate those who send funds just designated to missions. These are critical in supplying needed materials, projects and items not covered by designated funds. Every month there are needs that must be met from the undesignated bracket. Quite often a need arises that is urgent and needs to be met promptly.

I appreciate those who have confidence enough to include undesignated funds that can be used in these situations. As we have informed you previously, we make every effort to see every dollar is spent wisely and accomplishes as much as possible.

Your investments in foreign missions is an investment in eternity. We can derive some joy and satisfaction in knowing we have aided missionaries in their efforts, but the real rewards await in eternity. Thank you everyone! This work could not continue without precious friends like you!

Thankfully  yours,
Chester. H. Heath
