FGBI ON THE MOVE

LUKE BRUCE

“My three years at FGBI will be forever cherished in my heart. Valuable relationships that have been made with God’s Holiness people, and the thousands of hours that have been invested in my life by the faculty and staff, will prove their priceless value in the years to come.
It is here at FGBI that I really learned how to pray and seek God for His anointing and power to work in my life. It was here where I received the gift of the Holy Ghost, and to know the voice of the Lord. I have precious memories of times of prayer, of God moving in our classes. My three years at FGBI have definitely been a Bethel experience for me. My departure from the school will only be in body, for a piece of my heart will always be at FGBI.
God has called me to pastor, and He has laid a desire in my heart to pioneer Holiness churches in the Philippines. Just thinking about how He has opened doors for me and ordered my steps brings me to tears, and to worship Him.
In the immediate future I will be working full-time for my church, being the best servant that I know how to be to my pastor and church. If God allows, I would like to start working in nursing home ministry, and start canvassing my city on a regular basis. A door has opened for me to go on another short term missions trip to the Philippines, this fall, with my home church.
I just want to leave the doors of FGBI with a passion for the souls of men, and a humble spirit that says, ‘Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?’

HOLINESS CONVENTION 2006
“What have you come to see? I have come to see Jesus!” These were the words spoken by song leader Stephen Peyton to open the first night of Holiness Convention.
Indeed, the crowd proved that they were not only here in body, but also in spirit, and here to see the Lord move in miraculous ways. A youthful crowd came on fire with a readiness to see what God was going to do in each life. The liberating power of the Holy Ghost saturated the grounds of Free Gospel Bible Institute touching all who were present. We were blessed by the anointed singing and preaching of holiness preachers from around the country.

Rev. Dwain Galiher opened the convention by challenging us to move on in our walk with God. His message entitled, “The Burning Bush and Beyond” spoke directly to issues facing our movement today.
The people truly were in one mind and one accord, as they responded to the great challenge presented before them by these men of God.
As the convention progressed, we were spiritually fed like royalty. With special instruction from saints of God like Rev. Gene Calicott and Rev. William Hill, we were edified and encouraged to

improve our walk along the Christian path.
The morning teaching sessions were followed by tremendous meals prepared by Sister Nikki Willis and Sister Virginia McGechie. We were greatly encouraged in the afternoon services by anointed preaching from Rev. David Brimm and Rev. Gomez  –a missionary from Texas.

One of the highlights of Thursday afternoon was the preaching of Rev. Mike Shaffer. We were blessed by a great message from Genesis 12:1. He pointed to the “Risk Factor” that is associated with a walk of faith, as he admonished us to step out. Looking to the left or to the right is not an option. We must stay on the path set before us by God.
The afternoon services were not only a refreshing touch, but a great foretaste of what the evening held for us.
We were refreshed and ready for the move of God and the anointed preaching from Rev. Tracy Boyd. His ministry, as well as the singing of his wife and children, is always an encouragement to us!
What a joy it was to open the facilities of FGBI and care for the many who had come to join with us as together we revisited the call of God to a life of holiness!

REBEKAH JOHNSON

"It seems only yesterday that I was kneeling in the back of the auditorium at E-town youth camp surrendering to the call of God and committing myself to come to FGBI. Now that three years have come and gone...and the Lord has richly blessed me. I've grown and changed  in so many ways...and I believe that the Lord has placed His hand upon my life and called me to do a great work for Him."

ANDREA EVANS

"More than anything I want to be in His will.
FGBI has helped me establish a life of holiness that I love to live out. My hope is that the Lord will use me, no matter what it is."

LYNNETTE HARMAN

"My knowledge of Gods word was small when I came, but has grown immensely. HE holds the future and I want to follow Him wherever He leads me."

THANK YOU!

My wife and I were totally surprised by the generous offering that was received to enable our family to take a vacation this summer. As you enjoy this newsletter, Lord willing, we will be enjoying a time of refreshing!
