FGBI ON THE MOVE

CHOIR TRIP TO ARKANSAS, TEXAS AND MEXICO
The final choir trip of the year proved to be the longest and by far the greatest! Empowered by students united with a spirit of prayer and a determination to minister, this trip exceeded all expectations. We were blessed to be in service

with Rev. Lloyd Shuecraft and the saints at Fairland Holiness Church. From there, we moved on into Texas and presented a holiness choir to pastors and churches that are being told that modernism and worldliness is the only way to hold young people in church today. The truth is that nothing ignites the passion of a church like seeing its young people revived! What signs of revival we witnessed! Senior, Karla Thompson, tells about the Friday youth rally at Three Rivers, Texas. “The night began like every other,

but ended like none that we had seen. Brother Peretic pointed out that youth filled the pews of the church. This fact kindled the fire within the choir members even more.

The church began to respond to the ministry of the choir and the Holy Ghost began to move. After the preaching, a young lady came up for prayer, however, this was not going to be an ordinary prayer, she was not going to leave the altar unchanged; no one was. As she raised her hands and began asking God for His precious gift, another girl kneeled at the altar, with tears of conviction flooding her eyes and running down her face. Her heart was beginning to yearn for a real Savior. One of our students saw conviction in this young girl’s life and led her to the Lord. Later, she returned to the altar seeking the infilling of the Holy Ghost. While she tarried in prayer, four others were praying for the same experience. Several young men in the church began praying more fervently as students gathered around them and the presence of the Lord filled the place. With one great flow, the Spirit fell upon the place in such a mighty way that lives were completely consumed with Him. One young girl who had been slain in the Spirit began surrendering her life to God. Before she even left the altar, she had removed the many pieces of jewelry that had encumbered her life. Lives were changed at the altar on this unforgettable choir tour.
Another highlight of the trip was joining with Bro. Vernal French to minister in Reynosa, Mexico. This trip across the border would give many of our students their first insight into the world of missions. What an eye opener it was for many who had never seen the sincere worship of believers outside of America!
Although the trip was an awesome experience, it was not without difficulties. Our 1981 MCI Coach bus began to show some signs of its age as the throttle cable broke and the air conditioning quit. Bro. Greg Begley and Bro. Phillip

Sexton came to our rescue in Cincinnati, Ohio, and we were back on the road without much delay as we spliced the broken cable. The air conditioning was another story altogether. We were greeted in Three Rivers, Texas by a bank sign that told us what we already knew: TEXAS IS HOT! 101 degrees hot! We are determining the cost effectiveness of repairing the A/C versus upgrading to a newer coach. Please pray with us about this need as the ministry of our choir continues to expand!
We wish to express our appreciation to Pastors Lloyd Shuecraft, Victor Persinger, Kenny Shelton, Harlan Martin as well as Missionary Vernal French for opening their doors to us.

FALL TERM BEGINS SEPTEMBER 2, 2006
Applications for our 2006-2007 term are already arriving at a steady pace. There seems to be great excitement around the country as well as around the world as we witness the expansion of the ministry of FGBI. Our enrollment this past year showed an increase of 10 students. We are praying for an even greater number next year!
We presently have requests for applications from dozens of prospective students worldwide. Inquiries have come in from several different states such as Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Louisiana, California and Missouri, as well as the countries of Ghana, Cameroon, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Liberia, India and the Philippine Islands. The vision of FGBI has always been to reach the world!
FGBI is a Holiness Bible School that is operated and maintained by faith in God.  We do not charge for room, board, or tuition. Meals are provided free of charge and we strive to keep entrance fees as low as possible.
We rely upon the provision of the Lord and the generosity of His people.
Many have asked us how they can help be a part of such a glorious work. Over the years we have had inquiries as to the possibility of setting up a scholarship fund and we have always desired to do that. On our recent choir trip, we were reunited with an acquaintance we had made while pastoring in West Virginia. The wife and daughter of the late Rev. A.R. Kennedy, an old line Assembly of God preacher, were so excited about the ministry of FGBI that they decided to establish a scholarship fund in honor of this great man. What set them apart from the others who had inquired is that they immediately gave the amount necessary to cover one semester at FGBI.
They expressed a desire to do this each semester in honor of Rev. A.R. Kennedy.
If you are interested in setting up a scholarship in honor of some noteworthy individual, please contact us for details. The cost of a one
