Over the past five years, we have seen the good hand of God upgrading many areas of our campus. We began with the premise that God blesses the diligent labors of his people. We believe Biblical faith is faith that works! So we went to work cleaning and painting!

What a blessing it was to see God’s faithful provision as we refashioned our front hallway into guest rooms for visiting families and friends of FGBI. We embraced the Biblical admonition to be “given to hospitality.” This step of faith opened the door to many future improvements. The evangelist quarters as well as the efficiency apartment were completely renovated and equipped with new furniture. All of which was donated!

A few months later, as we were enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, I remarked, “wouldn’t it be great to have a dining hall that looked something like this?” Within days we received a phone call inquiring as to what our next remodeling project would be. We dreamed aloud about a cafeteria that was
more like a restaurant than the basic cafeteria that we presently used. Within weeks, we saw this glorious transformation take place. Once again, all of the labor and materials were donated.

From there, we stepped out further and completely renovated our small office space while relocating the candy store to our old library. This resulted in a beautiful café with added room for snacks and hi-top tables, as well as adequate space for the administration.

Over a year ago, we were issued another challenge:

“We will match dollar for dollar, every donation you receive to renovate the food service area of the

cafeteria, up to the sum of $35,000.00.”

What an exciting offer this is!

Our present equipment was acquired throughout the years as God provided. It has served us well but is in need of updating. We are in the early stages of creating a comprehensive master plan to effectively utilize the limited space available for food preparation and clean up. This plan will include replacing our aged appliances with modern energy efficient commercial

God has promised, “Before they call I will answer.” Even before we made a serious appeal for help with this project, we have already received nearly $20,000.00 in offerings and pledges that have been designated for this project. That is over half of our projected goal!

A generous offer to match funds coupled with a quick start has put us well on the road to making another major improvement for student life on our campus!

Miraculous Provision!

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:38) This is a tremendous promise!

We have made it a goal to teach our students to give. What a difference it has made! Even in times of great need we have encouraged giving to meet the needs of others. It is amazing to see how God rewards the generosity of his people.

As we mentioned earlier, just a few days ago the Spirit of the Lord moved at the beginning of a special service with Rev. Gene Huff. Our students were inspired to give!

Within a few days, the blessings of food came pouring in! First, a pickup truck load, then an invitation to bring our box truck and pick up even more: turkeys, iced tea, pink lemonade, milk, vegetables, beans, spices, cookies,
potato chips, coffee and numerous other items from “Feed My People Ministries” in Mercersberg, PA. They even gave a donation to pay for the gas!

This was followed up with a generous donation by Rev. Lyle Berg’s church and Rev. David Shoemaker’s church to purchase chicken for our meals.

We received 1600 lbs. of chicken keel.

Our students love this cut of chicken breast. We de-bone it and make chicken fingers that rival even the best restaurants!

Surely this is not merely a coincidence! This is yet another example of faith in action. God rewards those who give!
