FGBI ON THE MOVE

WELCOME, BROTHER KEVIN HOLCOMBE! BY SIS. ROBIN HOLCOMBE

Life at FGBI is filled with excitement as God opens new doors of ministry opportunities. We are privileged that He has chosen us to work for His Kingdom!
With the expansion of this ministry, the agenda of each individual on faculty and staff has become more strenuous. We have been praying for quite some time that God would send someone with a passion for the work of God to help lighten the load. We are pleased to announce that, once again, God has proven Himself faithful by sending Bro. Kevin Holcombe to Free Gospel Bible Institute to serve as faculty!
Bro. Kevin was the president of the graduating class of 2003. After leaving the premises of FGBI, he continued
seeking the will of God, having no idea that three years later he would play such a vital role in the outreach of this institute. In the time that Bro. Kevin has been laboring with us, he has exhibited the heart of a servant. When questioned about his position at FGBI he simply replied, “I want to be wherever and whatever God wants me to be, in whatever capacity He desires of me.”
God has been using Bro. Kevin tremendously through his teaching, preaching, and singing. In the short time that he has been working here, he has earned the confidence of the student body. Many students have made comments such as, “He makes learning fun” or, “God really moved through Bro. Kevin's preaching." Bro. Kevin has been a wonderful asset to FGBI as we endeavor to accomplish more for the kingdom of God!
We are truly grateful that God has allowed Bro. Kevin to labor with us! Our hearts rejoice when we consider God’s provision every day; not only meeting material needs, but sending
the help we need to make it possible to walk through every door that He opens for us. Bro. Kevin, we welcome you as a member of the FGBI faculty! Thank you for answering the call of Christ and for your willingness to serve Him wherever He leads.

PREVAILING POWER OF REVIVAL BY BRO. KEVIN HOLCOMBE

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:” Truly the miraculous moving of the Spirit of God is indeed being poured out as was first spoken of by the prophet Joel.

I have developed a passion for the ministry and to help others know that God loves them. FGBI has taught me to trust God even when you don’t see the answer, but you know that He’s still there.”

The classes have helped.  I feel better equipped to systematically explain the Gospel and basic doctrines of Christianity.”

A sense of excitement and expectancy fills the air as faculty, staff, and students await in anticipation of what the Lord is doing here at Free Gospel Bible Institute. A spirit of prayer and revival has infiltrated the hearts and lives of each individual as we continue our endeavor to prepare men and women for the Pentecostal ministry. As the fresh wind of a new beginning follows the commencement of the spring semester, we are seeing the mighty hand of God move as never before.
The spirit of unity became prevalent as freshmen, juniors, and seniors alike joined in praying for the mid-term students at the welcome banquet held on January 14 , 2006. This time of fellowship quickly became a worship service as the Spirit of the Lord began to make His presence known. This same spirit of revival has spread to the classrooms and prayer services as well. We have watched as students,

moved on by the Holy Ghost, have not only yielded to the voice of the Lord, but have also reached out to minister to those around them.
When asked how this move of God has affected the junior class, President, Michael Touchton answered, “It is amazing to see how God is molding

and making young men and women into the anointed ministers he has called them to be. As president of the Class of 2007, I have observed how God is moving in the lives of my fellow classmates. I have seen such a drastic change in their relationship with God. The Lord is doing great things in our class, and I’m just honored to be a part of it.”
We continue to “Expect great things from God” as we “Attempt great things for God.”
