Mid-term Graduation and Revival at FGBI

God has been doing great and mighty things at Free Gospel Bible Institute! The first semester ended with three midterm students finishing the course and after three years of hard work and diligence received their diploma. Dr. Charles Pahlman was on hand to speak at their graduation.

 A few days later at opening banquet, the school welcomed several new midterm freshmen. Bro. Mike Switzer spoke at the banquet and stayed to hold a winter revival. What was supposed to be a week long revival turned into three weeks, as God performed great and mighty works during each service. Students and faculty have testified of healing, being filled with the Holy Ghost, and many other miracles in their lives and the lives of their loved ones. God has richly blessed FGBI and we are anticipating what God has in store in the upcoming weeks.

It's December and that means it is time for FGBI's annual Playcast Ministry. Playcast teams have begun taking this year's Playcast play - "The Last Noel" to churches across the country. The purpose of the Playcast Ministry is to present the Gospel in a dramatic way and souls have already been won this year through the Playcast Ministry.

First Things First

Registration day at Free Gospel Bible Institute buzzes with anticipation. This year, thirty-seven new freshmen have enrolled, along with thirty-eight returning Juniors, and twenty-five seniors. Although we all came from different places, backgrounds, and churches, there is one thing we all shared that day: we are called. For the freshmen, this is a time of great change, as they begin a big step in preparing for the ministry God has called them to.

We are thrilled to see the line up of young people that God has called to FGBI to be a part of the Class of 2013. We have recieved a number of applications for this upcoming fall term, and they keep on coming! We arrived at Graduation day with 30 seniors eager to make their walk down the aisle to recieve their long awaited diplomas. This senior class was the largest group of graduates we have had since the mid 1990's.

The choir left yesterday for an 11 day choir tour beginning in Elkton VA, going all the way into Alabama and Mississippi. On April 9th and 10th they will be at Pentecostal Youth Fire Conference, where they will meet with several vans of students. Be sure to check out our booth!

Last week we had our 40th Annual Holiness Convention and saw God work in the lives of ministers, visiting laymen, and students. We were blessed to hear the anointing preaching of Rev. Michael Switzer, Rev. William Hill, and several visiting ministers with a tremendous touch of God on their lives.

Last week, President's & Dean's List were officially announced with a total of 33 students (10 President's List, 23 Dean's List) achieving the honors. Though "Dean's list" has always been a part of our program, "President's list" was introduced this year with the revision of our grading scale. To be on Dean's list a student must have a GPA of at least 3.2 in every class, and have excellent conduct and adaptibility. To achieve the highest honor of President's list, students must have excellent conduct and adaptibility, as well as a GPA of at least 3.5 in every subject.
