| S.E.N.T. MISSIONS TRIP | ||||||
Once again, it is
our privilege to introduce the Student Evangelism to the Nations Team (S.E.N.T.)
for 2006. The S.E.N.T. missions program is operated under the direction of
one of our graduates, Dr. Charles Pahlman of Mentor, OH.
The purpose of S.E.N.T. is to provide students
with the opportunity to experience life on the mission field as short term
missionaries. |
Philippine Bible
Institute, preaching in outdoor crusades, doing children’s ministry in the local
schools, as well as visiting local hospitals and the provincial jail. What
a tremendous opportunity this will be for these ministers in the making to
experience world missions firsthand! Students going on the trip must raise at least $2,500.00 to cover travel expenses as well as the needs of those being ministered to upon the foreign field. The airfare for two of these nine students (James Burgess and Mercy Shultz) has been provided as part of a grant from The Fasset St. Church of Toledo, OH and Heart For Kids Ministries run by Rev. Clayton Massey of McKees Rocks, PA. Let me take a few lines to acquaint you with these prospective short term missionaries. Perhaps your church will find a way to invite one |
of these individuals to
present their burden and vision for this trip as they endeavor to raise
the needed funds. Contact information and references are listed at the
close of this article. Our Academic Dean, Sis. Claire Beam, will
also assist in the oversight of this trip. God is continually opening new
doors of ministry for this dedicated laborer.We trust that you will keep these students in your prayers as they prepare for this life changing trip to the Philippine Islands. What greater joy is there than seeing young people committing their time and resources to the work of the Lord? Sending them a note of encouragement or even inviting one of them to your church would go a long way to support them in their walk of faith and obedience to the Great Commission. |
