Facilities and Campus Highlights

FACILITIES AND CAMPUS HIGHLIGHTS
The institute buildings house the chapel, classrooms, dormitory rooms, offices, library, bookstore, kitchen and dining hall. Faculty residences are also a part of the campus.

THE MAIN AUDITORIUM
Our spacious 800 seat auditorium is the center of much spiritual activity on campus. It is in this very special location where students begin their day with prayer, meet for daily chapel services at noon, and close out the day with evening prayer. Here, also, are held Sunday and Wednesday church services, as well as conventions, revivals and Graduations.

BOOKSTORE
The Free Gospel Bible Institute Bookstore handles all textbooks and provides selections of Bibles, Bible dictionaries, other Christian books, greeting cards, stationary, and many other items. Students may purchase books and other items through the bookstore at a special discount (except for textbooks). All profits go towards the ministry of Free Gospel Bible Institute. In addition to the bookstore, an adjoining snack store is open and a favorite spot of the students.

ON-CAMPUS LIVING FACILITIES
Dormitory style living quarters are available for a total of 229 students including 85 ladies, 132 men. Limited facilities are available for married couples.

DAVID J. BEAM MEMORIAL LIBRARY
The 7600 square foot David J. Beam Memorial Library is open 26 hours weekly, providing access to a collection of over 15,000 volumes systematically organized by the Dewey Decimal System.  Over 3,000 cassette tapes are available as well as other resources.  The institute library is central to the educational process of Free Gospel Bible Institute and is a popular place for research and study.

THE STUDENT MINISTRY PROGRAM
Student ministry is one of the most exciting outreaches of the Free Gospel Bible Institute. This opportunity for practical ministry has taken our students into at least 25 states and Canada. From Maine to Florida, and from coast to coast, our students have blessed churches through their participation in church services, youth and fellowship rallies, Sunday School classes, seminars, bus ministry, nursing homes and canvassing. Their anointed singing, inspiring testimonies and the challenging ministry of the Word has resulted in hundreds of souls being saved and numerous lives dedicated to the Lord for full-time service. Either locally on Sundays, or at far distances on weekends, the students are out in groups, under the proper faculty supervision. Not only do the students receive practical experience, but, also, Jesus Christ is presented and exalted. All services are arranged on a free-will offering basis with the offerings received going into the General Expense Account of the Institute. Numbers of pastors have stated how much they appreciate the student ministry program and how effective it is for training in the various fields of ministry. Ministries may be scheduled by calling the Institute Office at (724) 3275454.

CHOIR
Students may become a part of the Institute Choir and be a blessing in services and at special events. Those who are interested in music will enjoy this opportunity of serving the Lord with their musical ability.

TORCHBEARER
The Senior Class publishes the annual yearbook called the Torchbearer. Students with specific abilities in photography, typing, business administration, writing, etc., are selected to take part in this production. The yearbook portrays the life and ministry of the students of the Free Gospel Bible Institute.

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The Alumni Association consists of graduates of FGBI and honorary members (husbands and/or wives of graduates desiring membership). There are 906 members in our alumni as of this printing.

It is the purpose of our Alumni Association to promote interest among the graduates in the current activities and expansions of the Institute and to encourage fellowship among the graduates, as the FGBI family continues to grow.

RADIO MINISTRY
The Echoes of Faith Radio Ministry is aired live each day with radio host Claire H. Beam, from the main auditorium of the Free Gospel Bible Institute. The sounds of the Gospel, prayer and deliverance echo out to Western Pennsylvania, parts of Ohio, New York and West Virginia and parts of Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia.
