Alumni Project This years Alumni Project is going to be a service honoring Rev. Chester Heath for 45 years of service to the school and Free Gospel Church. We will be having a special service for him on Friday night and would love to have you attend. We are asking you to send in Project monies to Bro. Shane Boyer at the school. This money will go to help purchase a gift for Bro. Heath and his lovely wife of 50+ years. We will be having a Power Point Presentation. But due to a fire a few years back we need pictures. If you have any pictures that have been taken through the years and would like to have them added to the Power Point, please e-mail them to Bro. Shane Boyer. We need your help and this is a place where you can do that. Most of all we would like to have your presence there to honor Bro. Heath. I know there hasn’t been a student that has gone through the doors of FGBI that hasn’t been touched by his ministry. No one can forget Monday morning chapel, the sermons, the advice and, of course, the jokes. Make plans to be there and share in this joyous occasion. And make sure you send in your contribution to this project. Alumni At Work Vanessa (Garrison) Thigpen (2000)- My husband, Brent Thigpen, and I were married on June 23, 2001. We work in a Christian School in South Carolina. I teach the K-4/K-5 class and Brent teaches in the High School class. God has blessed us in many ways and all the glory goes to Him. Martha (Frank) Stanly (1992) - I live in Maine, but we are involved with the ministry in India and also Africa. My husband David who is also from India does travel back and forth. I don’t do that much because we have 2 children Calvin, 9 and Victor 2 months. But we are going next year for an extended amount of time as a family to work in the mission field. The work in India is growing and many Hindus and Muslims have accepted the Lord. |
We do various social activities and give different
training programs and this paves us a way to reach to the villages and
hence we are able to witness to them. God is good and faithful! Clayton & Pansy Massey (1993)- Clayton and Pansy are presently pastoring in McKees Rocks, PA. They have a children’s ministry to the intercity children in Pittsburgh area. And have recently been reaching out to the Spanish speaking community. And in their spare time they run a Heart 4 Kids Thrift store and seeing people give their lives to the Lord in the store. Jeremy Brooks (1997)- Bro. Brooks is working in Mexico at the present lime~ Fib just recently started feeding the children for breakfast, where he has the opportunity to share the gospel with them while they eat. Kevin Holcomb (2003) - Recently Kevin joined the staff at FGBI. He is teaching, assisting in Dean of Men and helping with the music ministry. He is doing a good job and has been a blessing to the school. James Olsen (1987) - Jim and his wife, Becky, are presently living in Virginia. I recently had the privilege of sitting in a service he preached in Pittsburgh. He did an outstanding job of ministering to the Spanish people in that church. Preaching a sermon in English and Spanish. What a ministry! Dwayne (‘87) & Tammy (‘86) Eggers - Pastoring in New York going on 15 years. David & Jolene Goens (1990) - David and Jolene have been pastoring since 2002. They are the pastors of New Hope Full Gospel in Bowling Green, KY.
